The new T40+ incorporates Tandberg Data's new Pass-Thru feature allowing additional units (T40 or T80) to be stacked together when your storage needs grow. The Tandberg StorageLibrary T40+ base unit is available with 40 slots and 1 LTO 4 Native Fibre Channel 4Gb ADI interface drive. A second drive can be added as your requirements grow. With the 4Gb Fibre Automation Drive Interface (ADI) only one LC fibre optical cable is needed per drive to control both drive and library. No more expensive fiber ports needed to control the library functions. The Capacity on Demand (COD) feature allows you to increase the number of slots from 40 to 188 and storage capacity from 32TB to 150TB/300TB* capacity. The Performance on Demand (POD) feature allows you to install up to 10 full-height LTO drives in a stacked configuration. The highly advanced redundant power supply feature detects power fluctuations and fan failures, preventing possible damage to the unit. The redundant power supply evenly distributes the power load across two power supplies, removing the single point of failure. For ease of management, the Web Browser remote management interface allows users to monitor, control, configure, and diagnose the StorageLibrary from anywhere in the world.
