I have bought a variety of items on eBay, from many different sellers, and it is very it or miss.  But at this point, it is mostly miss and I am done with it.  I have bought vintage video games here because it is impossible to find certain things in person, and several times I have received games claimed to be in 'excelent condition' or 'guaranteed to work' that are far from the discription.  They have a 'dispute console', but it gives you such a huge run-around that it is totally not worth it.  First, you have to send a couple emails with the seller to work it out.  Obviously, the degenerate, dishonest seller does not want to work it out so you wait forever for the replies.  Then if that doesn't work, they pass the buck to pay-pal and you get the same run-around.  It's totally pointless to use their dispute console.  Basically, don't buy anything from here if you expect it to be in good (working) condition.  The honest sellers are too far and few between to bother

My worst customer service experience. EBay requires you to contact them via on-line chat. In my experience it took 4-5 times longer then contacting a representative via phone. EBay rep via chat told me that I can not contact EBay via phone. I had to be transferred by a PayPall representative in order to speak with an EBay rep. When I told EBay rep about my chatting experience and how I was told that I cannot contact EBay via phone, the rep on the phone told me it is EBay policy and chat-reps cannot give out EBay customer service number. Really??? Again, my WORST WORST WORST customer service experience!

Ebay on-line store is a great auction site. I have been a member for ten years now and have not had many problems. The items are for the most part new, and the sellers are mostly friendly and polite. Ebay guides and helps you become successfully as a seller or a buyer. There are so many categories to choose from to help make your shopping more memorable. Here a few problems Ive had with eBay seller. Buying items out of the country, the delivery time is very slow and sometimes the items are listed incorrectly.Also their are a number of sellers will list their prices low but have a very high shipping and handlingcharge. Whenselling an item, make sure checks and money orders clear the bank before sending your products out.

My experience buying on ebay was disastrous to say the least. First l've been shoping here due to save few $$ but l've been getting alot of damage products form this site. Most seller blame the carrier for damage goods and i can tell you that most of it already has been broken prior to shipping. l've had lost money due to fact that l have to ship the product back to the seller. l will no longer use this site ever again.

I have bought several things from e-bay for myself and my wife for family members, they have a big listing of just about anything you could want new and used and when I have bought thru them I have always got what I bought, they try to weed out bad sellers so you get people who stand behind there stuff they sell, would tell anyone they could buy and be safe!!!

While I have had many successful, satisfactory purchase transactions on eBay a recent problem transaction and eBay's unresponsiveness might mean we need to be more wary than I realized. I assumed that eBay would  be interested in monitoring "poor behavior" by sellers but that has not proved true in this case. I ordered replaced phone batteries from an eBay seller on January 23. The seller (eehotsell) failed to ship the batteries or respond with a reason why for 5 weeks. I sent about two dozen emails to the seller. I tried to leave negative feedback on the seller but found the seller had "cancelled the transaction" so I could not do that. I finally lost patience and demanded a refund. Still no adequate reponse from the seller. I complained to eBay. They told me I could apply for refund from PayPal. When I did, Paypal reported my request to the seller and the seller then shipped the item to avoid getting charged for a refund. Yuk!

I know ebay just like every other company has flaw, I mean not perfect but if users would only check the sellers profile and read feeedbacks then most of the time you will get your money's worth.

Check also if the feedback is legit or its the seller giving feedback to his own account by registering another account. I had like almost a hundred transactions on ebay and never got screwed even for once.

I also pay with paypal so I know I still have some chance to get my money back in any case I didn't receive my item.
