I would never buy from or recommend this website (Air-Purifier-Home.com). I bought an air purifier and some extra pre-filters from them that I would have liked to return but I am not because of the huge return costs. I think this website is either the same company as or is very closely affiliated with Air-n-Water.com.

Air-Purifier-Home.com's implied shipping times are a joke. They show a neatly zoned map of the U.S. that implies my shipping time could be 3 to 5 days. I ordered the purifier on the 14th of the month and received it on the 29th.

Their return policy is totally misleading and actually not consistent with what really happens if you have to return something. Their web site says there is a 100% satisfaction guarantee and there is no restocking fee if the merchandise is returned within 30 days. When you call Air-Purifier-Home.com's customer service number to initiate the return process Air-n-Water.com's automated answering service answers the phone. Eventually the automated system gets you to the point where it instructs you to go the Air-n-Water.com's web site and "just click on the Returns link". Keep in mind Air-n-Water.com is not where you made your purchase. Good luck on finding the Returns link. When you do find it you are exposed to a whole new universe of how much it is really going to cost you to return something. In my case I paid $350 for my merchandise and I would lose over $125 if I return it. This is where I find out there is really a 15% restocking fee on all returns. That comes to approximately $52 for me. I would have to pay $37 shipping to get it from me to them. This is also where I find out that the shipping cost from them to me are not refunded. Since the original shipping costs were "free" and there is no where on any invoice that discloses those costs I have to assume I would lose another $37 for that.

One other thing. The air purifier arrived at my home and the pre-filters were missing. I wrote Air-Purifier-home.com an Email concerning that issue and got a response in less than 2 hours. About a week later I wrote them an Email explaining that I wanted to return my merchandise. I requested information about how to do it and how much it would cost. I never got a response from the second Email.

I think this web site is a small group of people that put together a slick web site and all they want to do is make sales and go to the bank. When something goes wrong all the negatives associated with the problem fall entirely on the unsuspecting customer. Avoid Air-Purifier-Home.com and Air-n-Water.com. If you use them and something goes wrong you are definitely going to lose quite a bit of money. Read the reviews and surveys for both web sites. Even the average reviews and surveys uncover a lot of the potential pit falls if you use these web sites.
