A few years back, a friend of mine placed an order for a musical CD that I wanted as a Christmas gift. She had paid for "fast shipping option" and it never arrived by Christmas. I waited and waited... still no arrival, after two weeks after Christmas passed.
My friend contacted Amazon.com and they told her for me to look into the bushes or around my house, that it may have blown off the porch or whatnot. I looked and looked around my house, in ditches, my mailbox, called the post office, and the list went on and on what I did.
Deeply disappointed that she paid fast shipping and it never arrived ontime or not at all, finally, after two weeks, they told her they would ship me a new one. I did receive my new CD and from this previous experience, I will never place an order from Amazon.com again, from not feeling secure, that my order will arrive on time or at all.
From the hesitation at first (for two weeks, not sending anything after an email), it makes me feel like they're making excuses for not sending an item, and trying to get out of being professional customer service.
