I ordered 2 separate Ralph Lauren infant outfits as gifts and a 1 pair of shoes for myself. I paid for gift boxes. I had all items sent to me.
I received the all of the items is one large gift box! I needed separate gift boxes for the baby outfits!
Not only that, one of the infant outfits was wrapped tightly in plastic the size and shape of a softball!!! The other infant outfit was on a hanger, also wrapped in plastic.
I would have been extremely embarassed of the presentation if that was sent directly to the recipients!!
Also, the tags on the outfits do not have Bloomingdales on them at all which means the recipients will not know where the items came from if they wanted to return/exchange them. The one gift receipt has ALL the items listed!! (Yes, including my shoes!!)
I called customer service and asked why they sent everything one one box. The rep told me that in order to have separate gift boxes, I would have to order each item individually!!
That is not ideal because that means separate shipping must be paid for each time, even if they are going to the same address!!
Thankfully, I was refeunded the gift box charge for my inconvenience.
However, I still do not have boxes for my gifts and the recipients will have no idea where I purchased these items!!
I am an avid online shopper and purchase all of my gifts through the internet. This was my first and last experience with Bloomingdales.com. I will go back to my old faithful....Nordstrom.com!!
Lesson: Do not ever use Bloomingdales.com for gifts or have gifts directly sent to the recipients!
