We were going to purchase two books from Amazon.com, but since we live in Spain the shipping would have taken 6 to 22 business days with "Expedited Shipping" so we looked for alternatives.

After some looking around we found some decent reviews for BooksAMillion and thought we would check there. The book was slightly more expensive but not by much, and they shipped by USPS Global Priority Mail so we could get the book in 4 to 6 business days.

Both books were listed as in-stock, so we went ahead and placed our order. Three days later we received an email indicating one of the books (a caricature book called Face Off) wasn't in the "main warehouse".

So our order has been sitting with a pending status for 10 days now, and they said it could take 3 to 5 WEEKS to get the book in before they could send it to us.

I spoke to customer service and they said, that sometimes books are listed as in-stock on their site but they process orders on a first come first served basis and maybe another order came in for the book right before our order was placed.

I told her we were in Europe so we place our order at about 2 AM their time and I really doubt that an order for this book which isn't that popular would have come in just as we were placing our order...blah blah blah.

Long story short, we cancelled the order and placed the order with Amazon (which had both books in stock.)

We had high-hopes for this merchant but they set up false expectations and really fell quite short. The one good thing we can say about them is that they quickly cancelled our order when requested.

We won't order from them again.
