CD Universe

When I shop online for CDs, movies or videogames, I usually go to Bestbuy.com because I am a member of the Reward Zone program. Maybe a few months ago, I was looking for a rare CD and therefore I searched it on online stores that had it. The first one to appear was CD Universe. I clicked on the link and from then on, I was hooked. It's basically Bestbuy 2, but just electronics!

For several reasons, I always enjoy just going to CD Universe.com, even if I'm just browsing. One, if one website doesn't have it, I'm always certain CD Universe will have it. You notice how most of your standard stores like Bestbuy or Wal-mart have import CDs that are ALWAYS on backordered. CD Universe is exactly the opposite. Of course, a few of them will be on backordered, but they are fast on getting them unlike other stores. Second, they are fast on shipping your products. In just a few days after ordering, you'll get what you ordered in the mail. However, depending on what your product's shipping details is(ships in 24 hours, 1-2 days, etc.). Regardless, CD Universe is extremely fast on getting their customers what they want. Third, their customer service is excellent. I recently bought a LP(vinyl disc), thinking it was just a regular CD. I e-mailed them saying that I did open it, but I didn't have the equipment to play it on. Going against their policy, they let me return it and gave me my money back.

CD Universe is based on three categories: CD Universe(Music), Video Universe(DVD), and Game Universe(Videogames). They have new and old stuff in each category. This is definitely an online store for customers like me that like all that stuff. The website is definitely easy to navigate and the process of ordering is a snap to do.

Probably everyone's and only least favorite against the site is their prices. Once in a while, you'll catch a deal or two, but most of the time, they are high. Their music prices are probably the cheapest compared to the site. New releases will be around the $10 mark while $15 is the highest it'll go(if it isn't a special edition or import). Still, it beats out Wal-mart prices of $16. The videogame prices aren't bad either. Usually, new releases are a few dollars less than most stores. However, the DVD prices are outrageous. New releases are about $23-$25 while you can catch them around $15-$20 at Wal-mart or Bestbuy. Their prices remind me of F.Y.E., which have stunningly high prices on their electronics. Their shipping price start at $2.99 for one product which isn't too bad.

Cd Universe.com is an awesome online store that has everything to offer for people like me! They are fast on shipping and their customer service is kind to their customers. The only thing that bugs people is their prices. They have deals once in a while, but not as much as we would like to see. Still, a definite website to shop.
