I bought my car through CarsDirect.com in 2001. I'll never buy a car any other way. It was soooooooo easy. I already knew what I wanted, a Jeep Wrangler. So I used the CarsDirect website to price options and put together my dream car. After I submitted my order I had some contact with one of their customer reps, I think most of the contact was via email but we did have some phone conversations as he worked to find my car. It turned out that in my area, there wasn't a car that matched my dream car exactly but the CarsDirect rep asked which features were most important to me, and I did end up getting nearly everything I wanted. Best of all, no haggling! My Jeep was delivered to my door by the dealership, I gave them a check, signed some paperwork and that's it!

In the end there was no stress, I received the same dealer incentives as if I had gone to the dealership and I didn't feel as though I were taken advantage of or pressured in any way. As I said, after buying a car this way, there is no way I would ever go back to a dealership, except to test drive a car.
