Just last week, my youngest child turned 4 and wanted to have Buzz Lighyear (again!) as the theme of his birthday party. And since I've not seen Buzz Lightyear stuff in stores for awhile now, I decided to go online to BirthdayExpress.com as this is where I purchased his party favors last year as well. They have many other popular and not so popular themes to choose from, so if you can't find what you want here, then chances are you won't find it anywhere else either. Read on to find out more about my online shopping experience with the Original Children's Birthday Express Party Source that helped make my child's 4th birthday party a success.

There are many, many others including specialty 1st Birthday themes as well as lots of other choices for boys and girls of all ages alike (the stock over 100 themes to be exact). Most come in sets of 8 (8 plates, cups, etc.) so if you need more place settings, ordering more is possible. And in addition to supplying anything you could possibly need to host a birthday party, there's also many other decorations and party favors to choose from, including pinatas, crafts and activities, prizes, toys, balloons, and even birthday scrolls and cake decorating stuff. And if you child really wants to get into the whole theme thing (or needs a new Halloween costume), there's even dress-up costumes available for sale as well. The long list of themes available listed in alphabetical order at the BirthdayExpress.com online site for easy searching, or shoppers can even purchase items using catalog numbers if needed. So overall, the site is very easy to navigate and finding what you need is only a few clicks away.


~~~Shipping & Customer Service~~~

Standard delivery when shopping at the BirthdayExpress.com online store should occur within 10 business days, but Overnight or Express 2 Day Shipping can also be chosen for an additional charge if items are needed quickly. For example, a $25 order will cost $5.95 to ship standard but add an addition $15 to get it there Overnight (see website for more details on shipping costs). To be safe, just order two weeks before the party and you should be good to go (although I received my order much quicker than 10 business days). Returns or exchanges are accepted within 30 days if needed (shipping charges are non-refundable), and they use UPS, Federal Express, and the USPS for delivery. Feel safe using their secure site when ordering with a credit card as all of your financial information is kept private. It appears that the BirthdayExpress.com online store charges sales tax only to North Carolina and Washington State residents, so everyone else can enjoy paying no sales tax for now!


~~~My Experience~~~

To ensure I received Tristan's Buzz Lightyear party supplies well before his 4th birthday party, I ordered his stuff from BirthdayExpress.com a good 2 weeks in advance although I didn't really need to. For just three business days after I placed my order, the package arrived via UPS in a very timely manner. Of course my home state of Tennessee is very close to their distribution site in Greensboro, NC, so I'm sure this helped with the delivery speed. Everything I ordered was included and a packing list with quantities described everything in detail that came with the Buzz Lightyear Basic Pak that was $24.99 (a Deluxe pak with more stuff was also available but we really didn't need that). So once my shipping charge of $5.95 was added, the total price came to $30.94. Since I didn't have to pay sales tax, I decided the shipping was quite reasonable for the time frame in which I received my order. They were actually having a free shipping on orders of $75 or more deal going on at the time I ordered, but we just didn't need that much stuff (although if one had several parties in a year to plan for, shopping in advance with such offers would be a money saving idea). So if we need hard-to-find party supplies again in the future (and no doubt we will!), I'll definitely be shopping online at the BirthdayExpress.com online site because of their large selection, ease of ordering, and the reasonably fast shipping I received.


~~~Overall Recommendation~~~

When your child has his/her mind set on having a particular birthday party theme and you can't find it in stores, then give the BirthdayExpress.com online store a try as they have lots and lots of popular characters and themes to choose from. I got the standard confirmation email when my order was placed, and then another when my package was shipped. Young girls will no doubt love the trendy Bratz doll theme while boys who love fire trucks or even dinosaurs will find what they want here as well. So shop early to save on high express shipping charges to help make your child's birthday party a big success. For kids grow up so fast and before you know it, they'll think theme parties are lame and not cool at all (just ask my 14 year old!).
