If they would just honor all rebates, it would be great.

My experience is that they only actually send out about half the rebates that are promised. The reason I buy from CompUSA online is that the store offers great prices (after rebates), but often they do not have the item in stock. You cannot get a rain check in the store, but if you ask, they will place an order for you online right in the store, and the shipping is free.

I have always received the correct items 4 to 7 days after placing the order.

The Erebates are very convenient to fill out online. However, you cannot see the status of the rebate until 15 days after the purchase. When the status finally does show up, it often says "No purchases matched receipt entered." In one case they said "You did not purchase all the required items". I even went back and looked at the sale flyer, and could not find the fine print that described any such "required items".

Since I figured out that their rebate process has problems, I only buy from CompUSA if the price is competitive before rebates. If they happen to honor the rebates, that is icing on the cake. However, I do not expect to receive the rebate, and so I am not disappointed if they do not send it.
