This is the worst product/company to ever open its doors.  A friend of mine had purchased the Polish/English translator for $450 after he heard a great overinflated commercial for this less than sub-par product thinking it would help him with his English.  After receiving it, setting it up for him and doing a few trial runs of some of the most basic translations it FAILED miserably!  There is not one excuse for a translator advertised at such magnitude to get a simple phrase as "I love you" incorrect.  Or even simple colors?  I wasn't asking for chartreuse, just a non-complex, run of the mill BLUE!  WRONG again.  Any way, after my very disappointed friend realized he had been had, his wife quickly got on the phone to inquire about return/refund instructions.  When his wife called she got a very rude and abrupt gentleman saying to "just send it back."  Leary of these instructions, she sent the packaged certified, requiring a signature upon delivery.  It was a good thing she did too, they claimed to have never received it, and when she produced the signed receipt for the useless translator, they said since it did not have a return number on it they would not refund her husband's money.  This was a total scam, good thing they had purchased this on a credit card, we disputed the entire charge with the credit card, the money was refunded, and I believe Ectaco, after many many months, finally refunded the money.  It boggles my mind how this ignorant company can take advantage of people wanting to learn and understand a different language better.  Please whatever you do... DO NOT BUY from Ectaco.  They are frauds looking to steal a quick buck.  And if you should wander into the shady world of Ectaco, then please please put the purchase on a credit card only.  At least then you have protection for the entire amount.  It is unfortunate that many people do not know this, and that horrible company is willing to take advantage of innocent people.  SHAME on them.  By the way, the people who own the business are Russian, and they will be more than anxious to tell you that they do not care if their product doesn't perform as advertised, they will tell you "this is America and we can do what we want!"  Those are the exact words they told me when I threatened to hire a lawyer to handle this matter.  PLEASE PLEASE stay as far away as you can from this company!
