I was looking to purchase a detox foot bath system ($200 and up) and settled on purchasing the one Gaiam offers because I figured since they touted themselves to be eco-friendly, etc., that they must be a good company to order from. That's what I based my decision on. Wrong decision.
A week after ordering the system I still hadn't received a shipping confirmation, so I sent an email to customer service. The response said it was due to be shipped that day. Next day I sent another email and guess what --- response was "it will be shipped today" and you can expect it 7-10 days from this date. Still no shipping confirmation or tracking number sent to me.
Since I purchased it as a birthday gift, needless to say it was evident that I wasn't going to receive it by the birthday, so I will have to buy another one somewhere else and return the one I purchased from Gaiam when and if I receive it. What a nightmare. I wish I had come to this site before I made my decision. I have never experienced such problems when ordering online before --- even from the small entities where I've ordered specialty items.
I am worried a bit that I won't receive it at all and be out $250.00. However, thank God I believe in karma and I have a feeling Gaiam won't be around in the years to come.
