I'm reticent to order appliances on the internet. However, this particular item was no longer available in So. Calif.
So, I was pleasantly surprised to find the microwave online. I got an order-taker and I ordered with the assumption that the, "free shipping" was unquestionable.
I found that I was mistaken. Sure, I was told, free shipping, but the stove will be dropped off at the curb. For another 20 bucks, it will be delivered to your door, and the condition will be ensured.
Well, it was delivered by UPS. (So, call me a dummy). The item was delivered in the manner which UPS usually delivers which is to the door. And of course the driver wasn't about to stop, open the box (actually 2 boxes) and check the microwave for damages. Indeed, I even asked if he would.
So, because of the deceptiveness of the Home Everything's order taker, I'm knocking them down to 1 check.
A clever and dishonest order-taker resulted in a score being dropped from 5 (they were prompt, and the guy was polite - the product was delivered in a timely manner). But, they're not going to send me my 20 bucks. This is the least I can do in the way of punishment.
