Ordered an NCAA gym bag for my husband on Dec. 6. Called on Dec. 18 to find out where my item is! Was told she would get further tracking info from FedEx and would call me back. She never called me back.. Called them a second time later the same day and was told that the item is out of stock and will not ship and i should just cancel my order! No further explanation, no offer to compensate me, just "we're sorry." This was supposed to my a Christmas present for my husband and now it is too late to get it anywhere else. I will never shop with them again! They are happy to sell you their merchandise, but not too concerned about anything after that point...

This item was dirty and defective. Although the website states hassel free returns I was told I would have to send a photo of the item by email before they would make an exchange. This was a Christmas gift and time was of the essence. I do most of my shopping on line and have never had a problem like this. Very frustrating experience!

Ordered 40 tents from HutShop on Monday and received them Wednesday. They had the fastest shipping I have seen online for a 1200 pound order. They were all double boxed and received in great condition. I talked to customer service to make sure the order was received and shipped quickly and they handled every aspect with professionalism. I was also very happy with the customer service and received my order tracking fast. I did not have any trouble with the company and will buy again.

Customer Service Problems

Ordered an item that was supposed to ship within 24 hours according to their website. Called 2 days later when there was no e-mail nor tracking info on the website. Got an e-mail the following day saying we're looking into it. Finally on the fifth day, after sending a threatening e-mail because I could only get voice mail at their phone number, I got a return e-mail and a phone call saying they were having trouble with the tracking system. The tone of the phone call was quite unfriendly, like it was my fault for wanting to know where my package was. I was promised an update later in the day but never got it. Finally had to cancel the order and get the product from a more dependable source.

The Hutshop offered a reasonable price and appeared to be a reputable site. The order process was smooth and the item I ordered, a wireless shipping scale, arrived when promised. However, the item was simply placed in an oversized box for shipping with absolutely no packaging materials for support. The item itself had been opened and appeared to, at best, be a return. The directions were missing and the cord to the ac adapter hung from its box with the twist tie left in the bag with the scale. There were pieces of broken styrofoam within the manufacturer's box.
In the ensuing exchange with a representative of the merchant, the Hutshop simply kept insisting they only sell new products so my observations could only be a result of movement in shipping. They refused to replace the unit unless I paid to return it to them and that I properly packed it and it arrived in good condition. I was forced to dispute the credit card charge. I would never shop on this site again. I strongly recommend that others do not either. |
