Upon ordering my laptop, I was anticipating its arrival but was willing to hold out for the 5 day shipping to save some money. However, the product I received from J&R Music was defective; the screen of the laptop was coming apart from the back of the computer. After calling J&R’s customer service, they agreed to accept the return and send a new one. I would have expected them to make good with their mistake by expediting the shipping for my return as well as the reshipment of the new laptop computer. They delayed sending the return shipment information and elected to use basic ground shipping on both occasions (meaning an additional 5 days – not counting weekends- for each shipment). As a result, I had to wait an additional 14 days from the time I was originally supposed to receive my laptop. J&R claims to be a leader in “excellent customer service” per their profile on Amazon.com, their participation with “Amazon’s A-Z Guarantee”, and information from their flier received in my shipment. Unfortunately, I didn’t find that to be the case. I was disappointed J&R did not live up to their self-described reputation and was surprised by their lack of concern for customer satisfaction. In the future, I will not be using J&R Music and would not recommend it to my friends and family.
