Items that were In Stock went Out of Stock while the order was sitting in the queue. The entire order was placed on back order due to a single out of stock item. That item was removed from the order and the order was supposed to ship immediately. Instead of shipping, the order sat in the queue and more items went out of stock. All in all, it took 3 weeks to ship and then some items had to be cancelled in order to effect shipment.

My past two orders with J&R have been my my first experiences purchasing electronics from an Internet site and I was a little skeptical. However, everything went just as J&R indicated it would go on their web site. I received my items quickly and in good condition. I was so pleased with their quality of service that I recently inquired about J&R's price matching policy because I'm considering purchasing a camera and would like to work with a company I've had experience with rather than seek out a low price and take a chance.

The only thing I didn't like was that there was a promotion going on that if you bought the Bose Ipod speaker ($299) you got a J & R Gift certificate for $10. Since I bought 2 of the Bose items, I felt that I should have gotten 2 $10 gift certificates. If I had ordered the two items separately, I would have, and I still would've received free shipping. I didn't think that was right. So I feel like I made it easier on J & R that they only had to mail one package and I got penalized for it. Otherwise I love J and R; these were not my first purchases and I do keep coming back.

The product shipped out the day I ordered it and I received it within 3 business days. However, it would have been nice if I could have had the option to choose which carrier ships the product. UPS shipped the product and I couldn't have the driver leave the package and I had difficulty actually getting the product. No fault by J&R Music. If the option was available I would have chosen Fedex because they will leave the product as requested for a customer and I wouldn't have to drive across town to pick it up after 3 failed attempts to deliver.
