Pros:
The best on-line store for quality, customer service and price.
Cons:
I only wish they had a real store near me.
The Bottom Line:
The best in on-line retail, great quality, customer service, and price. They should write the book that other on-line stores should read.

I have been a Land's End shopper for many years and I can tell you that there is no better place to shop. These guys do it right all the way! They have great quality products, the best customer service and the prices are great too. I could share many Land's End stories, but I will spare you, and just tell you a couple.
We buy tons of items from Land's End. I have bought the diaper bags so many times I should open a store. They are a great gift and so reasonable in cost. I buy clothes, especially my trademark turtlenecks. I wear turtlenecks all the time, yep even in 100 degree weather! The Land's End turtleneck is the only one I have found that will take that abuse I give it. My husband yells at me for stretching the neck opening to put the turtleneck on a hanger. If I do that with other brands the necks don't live long, but with the Land's End brand I could stretch the neck a zillion times and the shirt always looks new. I have turtlenecks in my closet that I got from Land's End over 10 years ago and they look new. They come in so many colors, I swear my closet looks like the turtleneck sample department for Land's End.
Oh let's talk about Blue Jeans!!! How many of us can't find ones that fit??? Well the Land's End blue jean is great. They even hem them to fit you and it's free..how great is that?! My husband is a hard one to find blue jeans because he isn't real tall. He wears a 29 waist with a 30 in-seam. Most store brands don't come in that length but with Land's End, we get a perfect fit everytime. Oh and they stand behind the product. We had gotten a pair of jeans and several years later we noticed that one of the seams was coming apart. We called Land's End and told them the problem, we just wanted them to know about this pair since it was unusual for that to happen. We were not interested in sending them back we just wanted Customer Service to be aware. Well they told us to ship them back at Land's End expense because they wanted to see the product. We were shocked when they sent us a new pair, they apologized for the problem and explained that it was a defect.
Land's End stands behind their product 100%. If you ever have a problem all you need to do is call and let them know. Ordering is easy and returns are a snap! They never give you a problem if you return an item...just didn't like it, wrong color, whatever you can send it back and they will give you a full credit. How many on-line stores do that?
I buy sheets and towels from them, they last forever it seems. I buy almost every item they make and that is so rare that I can find an on-line store, or any store for that matter that I can find so many items that are perfect for me. I spend time with the catalog and always see something that would be great. Best of all I save money by shopping Land's End. Because the items last so long if you think about it you actually spend less. I use to have to replace turtlenecks every 6 months or a year. The seams around the neck would not hold (okay so I put the hangers in wrong) and they would stretch out, but with my Land's End turtlenecks they never seem to die. They are about $15.00 and less if I order three or more, and since they last longer the cost is nominal. The jeans seem to last longer and towels from other stores wear out in months, where the Land's End towels last for years.
Okay, now let's talk Customer Service, this company should write the book. They have operators 24 hours a day. Doesn't matter when you pick up that phone there is someone to talk to you. Gosh, it doesn't even seem to ring and they are there. Polite and helpful, it just seems that the entire crew is that way. They never rush you but take an interest in your order like it was the only one they had that day. I don't know where they found these people but I wish more companies would take a page from Land's End. The on-line portion is just as user friendly, I have found that I can go on-line and order with ease. I find things on the site and it is quick to load most of the time. I could just order on-line, but I like being able to call my order in and ask questions.
I can't think of a thing that is bad about this company. I can only tell you that if you have never been to the Land's End site you need to go and see it...www.landsend.com, get a catalog and start to order. I promise you that whatever you get from them will be wonderful and you too will be sold on Land's End.
