I recently came across this site after doing a search on the net and couldn't believe the prices on their stuff. I had been looking for a leather trench coat and they had one for $109.99 (on sale - retail said $209.99). It's made of napa leather, not lamb, so that explains the price a little (napa is a good soft leather, but not nearly as soft, smooth, and EXPENSIVE as lambskin). Anyway, I thought it sounded too good to be true. I couldn't find one anywhere for less than $150 made of napa leather. Most were in the $200 - $220 range on the net and the local place here $300. Well, then I read the other review on here. The person obviously had a terrible experience and it almost swayed me against ordering, but instead made me investigate this place a little first. I did a search on their phone numbers on the net and found hits for a leather manufacturer in Illinois (Excelled Leather). The brand sounded familiar. I guess I saw their tag on a coat or something once. I also did some searching on the brand Excelled and found their same brand carried at a few places, including Sears. Everything I found listed at Sears was the exact same retail "full" price listed on the leathercoatsetc site (you'll find just about everything listed on leathercoatsetc is marked down cheap from a "retail price" - it made more sense to me once I saw they were a manufacturer). After seeing this I decided this was legit and went ahead and ordered the trench along with a women's walking coat (the woman's coat was the one of a couple coats I saw on the Sears site by the way). I placed my order on a Saturday and by Monday I hadn't heard anything (the place says they're open 12 hours a day 7 days a week), so I wrote them an email. I got a reply saying the walking coat was already in the mail along with a tracking number. I replied requesting a shipping confirmation on the final item. The speed on that was amazing (sent the first business day), but an order confirmation would have been nice. The tracking feature on the site doesn't work, so you're in the dark unless they tell you what's going on. The trench coat didn't get sent until a week later. Why, I don't know, but I got it 8 days after ordering. I did get an email from them notifying me on that one. The site says an order normally arrives in 3-7 days and I got mine in 2 days for the first half and 8 days for the second, so IMO that fell well within the timeframe, give and take a day. Both items arrived exactly as described. Packaged well too. Both in large flat boxes and wrapped in a plastic cover. Overall, I'm totally satisfied. I'll definitely keep them in mind whenever I look for something else again.

Bottom line - I got a killer deal on 2 leather coats there. Coats I would have paid anywhere up to double for elsewhere. Shipping was fast, items were exactly as described and very well packaged, but some kind of order confirmation would have been nice. The site also needs some work done to it. Ordering is easy, but the tracking features don't work. I didn't mention this before, but the javascript rollovers of pictures make the screen go crazy when you put your mouse over them (like what you encounter on Ebay in some of the listings). All in all, I would definitely shop there again without question.

On a side note, they have a lambskin trench coat for $179.99. Those typically go for a fortune in a leather shop.
