I decided to look for reviews on Magic Cabin out of curiosity. Noticing that there weren't any, I thought it might be helpful for other potential customers if there were one online.
I ordered through Magic Cabin via snail-mail; they were surprisingly speedy with delivery, taking only about 10 days with the order (this is including delivery times!). There was one mistake in the order (I had ordered a certain yarn and received boucle instead of straight yarn in a craft kit), but I ended up liking the curly/boucle yarn better and kept it.
One of the things that makes Magic Cabin so unique is that the catalogs and online site graphics are hand-drawn. For those who say, "Then how will I know what the item(s) I order will look like?" I can say that the person who illustrates for the catalog does a perfect job. The items I have received have looked exactly as "pictured," even though the picture is actually a drawing!
Although they are a little pricey, the products are made of unique materials, such as: wood, silk, and even wool stuffing! For anyone interested in sewing Waldorf-style Dolls, they are (so far) the only source I have found in the US for wool stuffing and yarn. Their kits are great--I made a Waldorf doll and it looks very much like the ones in the catalog, at a fraction of the cost. There are also toys made in Germany and other countries that you really can't find anywhere else. It's an excellent source for fun, natural, unique toys.
And for adults who are still young at heart like me, many of the products say they are for children "to adults." It's easy to tell from the catalog and site whether or not you might be happy with a product as much as the children in your life are. My only regret is that I didn't find these products back when I was a little girl.
