I have a Sony laptop (read: tiny-proprietary-hard-to-find-and-very-expensive-RAM), so I was happy to see MemoryX had a great price and availability. I ordered the card and was happy...
A week and a half later
When I received my shipment, it was the wrong card completely. After insisting I had done everything possible to see if somehow the card would work even though it was the WRONG card, they allowed me to exchange it. This time I made sure the customer service people knew the model of my computer, model of the card, and even showed him the picture on MemoryXs site.
A week later
They get the card and ship out the one they promise, is the one in the picture.
A week and a half later
I get the shipment-- and its the wrong card AGAIN! This time the card doesn't even fit in the slot because it has too few pins. Once again they argued with me about how it must be the right one, it must work, and to try it again.
I've given up arguing and sent it back again. At this point it has been over a month since I ordered the RAM and since their customer service is all e-mail based, no one has really taken responsibility for this mess-- or for making sure it is fixed.
Bottom line: I would pay the extra $20 somewhere else to make sure I got my RAM card in less than 30 days and counting and without the hassle of e-mails and trips ($$!) to the post office.
