The shopping experience was unacceptable. I ordered the toner cartridge that I needed on Thursday at noon. I needed the item very quickly and agreed to their reduced rate UPS 2-day shipping promotion, which was still expensive. I received an email from Meritline's customer service late Friday night saying that the item was on backorder and would be delayed 2 - 3 days. I sent an email back on Saturday indicating that I couldn't wait that long so please cancel my order. Monday afternoon I received an email back saying that they couldn't cancel my order since it had already drop shipped. I don't see how since the email late Friday said the item wouldn't be availalbe for two or three days. So since it had drop shipped on Monday and I paid for UPS 2-day air, I should have received the order on Wednesday. However, the package didn't arrive until Friday. So, I paid for 2-day air shipping and yet still didn't receive my order until over a week after I ordered it. Very unacceptable and not up to the standards of an online retailer. I will never order from this company again.

I've ordered from Meritline several times and, in general, have been very happy with their service. This last order, however, included an item - Meritline Mini Mouse & Cables Combo Pack - which was incomplete (the mouse was missing). I called a customer service representative who at first tried to tell me that the item didn't come with a mouse and that nothing was missing! It took a couple of minutes to get him to understand that it states clearly in the name of the article; in the description of the article on their website; on the box; as well as in the empty molded space that it really should include a mouse.
I was told they would send one out right away. I await it's arrival patiently.

Very poor after-order experience. Said order shipped then next day got an email saying backordered (but didn't say what part of order was or was not on backorder). Didn't receive UPS tracking number until day before arrival of partial order and then discover that part of order actually shipped at same time they sent the backorder email! Took another email request to get tracking numbers for the rest of the order, which didn't arrive until a week later.
Thought I was ordering Epson OEM ink cartridges, but received another manufacturer's "compatible" cartridges - it is NOT clear on web site that these are NOT actually Epson cartridges. Have not installed them yet, so don't know how compatible they are.

The reason I indicated "Fair" on your customer service is because I couldn't get hold of a live person when I called your Tech. Support 3 times. All I got was a voice mail and never got a response within 3 weeks time:-(
I finally was put through your Returns Dept on my 4th call
when I dialed your Sales Dept. The item I had problem with was then returned and replaced to my satisfaction.
I believe you ought to have a more responsive team of tech. support.

They even debated on whether to ship the items to me when I made the comment, "how come your shipping costs are so high?". They emailed me and help up my order from being shipped sooner.

I placed an order which was agreed as free ground shipping, but I chose 2nd day air. It would cost me at least $30, and in the next day, I received an e-mail from Meritline customer serviec, informing me the shipping fee. So I changed the shipping method and saved my money certianly. This web has the best customer service and fast response. Sure I will buy from it again..

Extremely poor experience...Products are well priced but customer service is atrocious...Product was improperly shipped to the wrong address, company insisted that the error was on my end and then assured me that it would be resolved to my satisfaction...In the end, they said there was nothing that they or I could do, I had no product, I was not refunded my charges (Over $80) and was not granted a replacement shipment...All of this over 3 weeks from the initial order...I reversed the charges through my credit card company as a result.
Additionally, at the risk of sounding racist, the company representatives are apparently all Asian and all with very poor English or communication skills that simply complicated any attempts at clarification or resolution. Would never recommend to anyone to purchase from Meritline...If you are lucky, you never will have to deal with Customer Service from them. |

Poor listening skills, can't follow directions

The shopping experience was ok. The issue I have with them is the fact that they can't follow directions. I paid using paypal and listed the address I wanted my merchandise shipped too in the note section, per their instructions. I also called them and spoke with a customer service rep and confirmed they had all the information correct. So what did they do, they shipped it to my billing address anyway instead of my requested address. They don't listen well, do they.
I also never received a response from my complaint. |
