Northern Mountain is my favorite Internet store for sports gear and my first stop when I?m shopping. The gear is of good quality and the prices are excellent. My only disappointment is the lack of range, which forces me to buy the rest of the gear from other stores, mostly Backcountry.com. I?ve looked at my account and found that I buy 1/3 of my gear from Northern Mountain, 1/3 from Backcountry and 1/3 from various sources (such as actual stores). I would buy 2/3 from Northern Mountain if they had a range similar to Backcountry.

I paid expedited shipping to have this in-stock item arrive prior to Christmas. It was supposed to have been sent out fed-ex 3 day expedited shipping to arrive before Christmas, but never arrived. After Christmas it was resent out via Fed Ex again, but someone didn't get a Christmas present on time.

good experience, only issue was the original delivery date moved from 7/28 to 7/31....not sure if that was NMS issue or UPS issue but received product and am satisfied. will shop them again as they had great prices on both merchandise and shipping...

Excellent service and fast delivery. Only glitch was that they did not send an acknowledgement of my order from them and it concerned me enough to return to their site to make sure they had my order. They did and it was all correct, but the first and only message I received from them was when my order was shipped. They might consider adding one of those automated "acknowledgment of order" type letters that most other online vendors use. I've been trained to expect to receive one when I make a purchase online.

Excellent service, excellent prices. Shipment via UPS; tracking indicated package was in limbo somewhere between CA and SC for approximately five days. Could it have been delivered earlier? However, that's the shipper's issue, not the merchant's, and the package arrived exactly when they said it would. I would undoubtedly use this merchant again.

I am a US citizen and a contractor at an APO address. Shipping to an APO requires no additional fees over continental shipping via USPS. It would be nice to allow contractors and service members to receive direct shipping to where they are stationed. I had to have things shipped to my mother and then pay for her to ship them tom my APO address.

Horrible!!!!! Ordered 2 items and was checking out but the site kept coming up with an error. I double checked and retyped any potential errors with no success after 2 tries. In the meantime, my account was charged TWICE and the order had not even processed!!!!!!! I called the 800# and the guy on the phone kept indicating that I was doing something wrong. Even if I had made an error my account was still charged twice and I had not order even being processed. Basically, this was my problem and to figure it out with my bank!!!!! I have no order but have paid for 2!!!!!!!!!

They failed to inform me that one of the items I ordered was not in stock. I had to wait until the delivery arrived to learn that I was not getting everything I ordered. That caused me unnecessary inconvenience.

Northern Mountain Supply only ships UPS. There was a delay in shipping because of this and UPS is very inconvienant for me to receive. Postal service is much faster and more convieanant.

My item was shipped via UPS Ground which was extremely slow. I'd actually almost forgotten about the item by the time it arrived. US Mail is much faster and cheaper. I would not purchase from this merchant again based on that and the 10 day return policy. I would rather shop at REI - I get my items faster and can return anytime from REI.
