I ordered 2 Tippmann A-5s from Paintball Mountain via Amazon.com, one for myself and one for my girlfriend. They were advertised at a pretty awesome price, but Paintball Mountain refused to honor it. A customer service representative called to let me know they "couldn't" honor their advertised price.
Now, I've worked in retail for many years, and I'll tell you that you never screw over a customer on a price you've advertised. She told me that Amazon was the one that screwed up. It's a computer program that'll spit out the same price that it's given, so the fault was with Paintball Mountain. Then she tried to tell me that there was a disclaimer at the bottom of their page that they're not responsible for errors in prices. I wasn't looking at the Paintball Mountain site, I was looking at their Amazon.com store, where that disclaimer is not written. On top of that, it's not on their page, either.
Then, our customer service representative started getting frustrated. She couldn't come up with an excuse not to honor the price, so she simply stated, "listen, you're not getting this gun for this price." I'll never do business with this company again, and I recommend everyone else do the same. A company who will not honor their advertised prices is a company who does not care about their customers and is simply a bait-and-switch act.
