On 1-31-06 I placed an order for a dog house heater from Petstreetmall.com. They had the best price and offered free shipping.
I wish I'd opted to pay more and order from a different company.

When I checked the order tracking number provided on their site, it listed "accepted by the post office 2-2-06" and "the USPS was notified to expect shipping of the package 2-6-06". I found this confusing, why were they "going to ship" 4 days after they supposedly had shipped.

I e-mailed them and got a response from John F on 2-10 to call my local post office. The local post office couldn't tell me anything except that it hadn't been delivered (I KNEW that), so I e-mailed back and got another response from John F on 2-15 to call the customer service number, that he couldn't help me.

So on 2-15 I called customer service(and failed to write down the name of the man I spoke to). He said the post office must have lost the package and they would reship that day. I asked if he would take my number or e-mail to notify me once it had shipped, he said no, that wasn't necessary, that I would have it in a couple days.

On 2-17 I called the customer service number again, since the tracking number listed on the website had not changed. I spoke to Leslie, who left me on hold for 6 minutes, then came back and reported that the post office must have lost the order and nothing had yet been reshipped. There was "nothing in her computer" about my call on 2-15. She put me on hold again for 5 minutes, and came back and assured me it would be shipped 2-17 UPS and she would call me with a tracking number.

Even if they now follow through, I am thoroughly disgusted with this company and would not recommend it to anyone. It will be more than 3 weeks after my original order before I receive the merchandise (assuming I do), and a week after my first inquiry before anyone really listened to me (assuming they do) and got anything done.

Shop elsewhere, I recommend www.futurepets.com, they have much better service and the prices are almost as good!


Update: I did finally receive the heater 2-21 and it was as advertised. However, I still recommend purchasing through a different company where they'll listen to you if there are any problems.
