First we went to the store to buy a wedding ring. The price on the tag was different than the price that rung up at the register so we went home to see what the price was online. It was about $100 cheaper online than in the store so we purchased it online. The ring was purchased on September 7th. The wedding was on October 26th and shipping was guaranteed to be 1-3 weeks. After three weeks and no contact from Zales, we called to get the status of the ring and was told the ring was out of stock. Why did no one immediately call us to tell us this? We were told that the ring would be in stock in a week. Once a week was up, we called and were given the run around that it wasnt in stock but it would be. They would call me the next day to confirm this. No one ever called. I called again and was told it would be in stock the next day and that someone would call me to confirm. No one ever called again. I called and was told that it was now in stock and it would ship October 11th. I confirmed that they would upgrade it to overnight shipping which they agreed. They next day I looked online and it indeed did ship but not overnight. The ring was not received until October 20th. When I opened the package, the ring was a size 7. My wife is a size 4.5. I called Zales and was told they would see what they could do and call me the next day. No one called again and I had to call back. The person I spoke to the previous day was not there but the new manager said he would call the vendor and call me back. No one ever called. I called Zales again and they said there was nothing they could do. They would not send a plain band just for the ceremony. We had our wedding without a wedding ring, thanks to Zales.
