We ordered this guitar for my daughter's 15th birthday present. When the guitar arrived it was not an acoustic electric as stated on their website. It was an acoustic guitar. We called customer service and the gentlemen we spoke with said normally they will not send out a replacement until they receive the item back but he agreed to send a replacement the next day with 2 day air since it was a gift. He was sure they just pulled the wrong guitar from their stock. We did ask for them to double check since it was a gift and we were up against a deadline at this point. He assured us the correct guitar would be sent 2 day air and it would be the correct guitar. The new guitar was not sent 2 day air we found out when we called since we did not receive it in 2 days. It was sent FedEx ground which took approx. 7 days. When the replacement guitar arrived it was incorrect once again. It was the same guitar as the first one - it was an acoustic guitar - not an acoustic electrical as stated on their website. We called customer service once again - spoke with the same gentlemen and were told the guitar was no longer in stock. Well at this point it was after her birthday and we did not want to chance another disappointment so we asked for a refund. They said they would mail a return label once again which they did and it took another week to receive that - as of today we still have not received a credit on our credit card so not only are we out the price we have paid for this incorrect guitar - we are also out the price we paid for one from another location plus the disappointment of not having a gift for our daughter on her birthday. I was informed 7/6/06 when I called asking about the credit that they have put a credit through to my card but it just hasn't shown up as of yet.

ZZound promises great shipping rates but refuses to follow through. We were told that they were going to ship a Yamaha YDP223 digital piano to me for a set price, but when it came to doing it, they dropped the ball. We had many calls unreturned, empty promises, and a refusal to honor our agreement. Bad news company! Stay Away!

zZounds has this guarantee that they will "Beat" any advertised price. Well, I found a better price on an amp and contacted them about it by their 'Spy' challenge e-mail system. They wrote back and said: "It's unusual but we can't beat or match this price because.....(here it comes folks).....we don't have it in stock". First of all the guarantee is to beat the price...not match! (read your guarantee zZounds!!!)....secondly, why can't they order it for me?????? Hello.....anybody home!!!??? Bottom line....their guarantee is hollow and they make excuses for not honoring it.

I placed a small order with zzounds for some cables that Musician's Friend didn't have in stock. Since I live in New Jersey, where zzounds is located, delivery was amazingly fast.

Personally i would order from zZound again due in part to their fast and efficient order procedures, not to mention the no-sales tax part (except New Jersey folks) which really does add up after a few bucks; i had placed an order over the weekend and received it as planned 2 days later, not to mention their re-assurance to check and inspect my items throughly for damages, missing parts, etc. and who to contact in such scenario. The 30 day replacement or refund policy is usually the standard in the market and more then enough time for a musician that will use his instrument and additional components daily like myself to know if it's right or wrong for him.

Once again i'm looking forward to using zZounds again in the near future and referring it to friends as well, by far one of the few online merchants that have actually delievered my goods as promised and in such quick efficient way for free even fewer!
