Product Description

This larger station wagon is based on the Grand Sports Tourer Vision R concept, which was introduced in Detroit last year. The R-Class will be built in Vance, Ala. A long-wheelbase version will be produced for the U.S. market, alongside a short-wheelbase equivalent, which will be exported to Europe. Eventually, Mercedes is expected to sell the short-wheelbase version in the U.S. with its larger sibling. Annual production will fall around 50,000 units, about half of which will be intended for domestic consumption.

Date of Review:  Dec 12, 2005

A Pacifica in Wolf's Clothing??? Mercedes R350

Date of Review:  Mar 4, 2006
The Bottom Line: If you must have a van, the R350 will not fit the bill. Want to carry six people in comfort? Get a Crown Victoria.
Review: I know I will receive a lot of complaints about my opening title, but really, think about it...if you were a car company that operated on ever shrinking margins, wouldn't you go ahead and take something from one of your subsidiary's car bins? The...
