Indispensable for learning about Hemingway

Date of Review:  Jan 5, 2002
The Bottom Line: This is one of his best books and worth a read if you're interested in how he wrote/lived in Paris.

Date of Review:  Jun 19, 2006
The Bottom Line: A must-have for aspiring writers, fans of the memoir and Hemingway, and anyone who is interested in the literary expat community living in 1920s Paris.
Review: If you are lucky enough to have lived in Paris as a young man, then wherever you go for the rest of you life, it stays with you, for Paris is a moveable feast. That is part of a letter Ernest Hemingway wrote to a friend in 1950. A Moveable Feast is...

Date of Review:  May 21, 2004
The Bottom Line: Excellent autobiographical sketches by 'Papa' make this a true must read for anyone who enjoys reading real literature.
Review: I am primarily a Horror/Sci-fi/Fantasy reader, so it s not often that I get around to reading the classics. My previous view on the whole thing was that the classics were for school and after I graduated, I would read whatever the heck I wanted to...

Paperback, A Moveable Feast
This vibrant portrait of Paris in the 1920s, published posthumously in 1964, is vintage Hemingway-- evocative, self-mocking and frank. In an extraordinary chronicle of the sights, sounds, and tastes of Paris in a bygone era, Hemingway offers readers a view of his life and the people that populated his expatriate world--Gertrude Stein, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Ezra Pound and other literary luminaries.
