The Bottom Line: You need the Adapter, follow the simple suggestions that I have given and you will only have to replace the Adapter every 2-3 years instead of every 6 Months.

The Bottom Line: If there were options, I'd pick a better cord. But they don't make anything else for this laptop. Its neccesary but I don't love it.
