Hopefully, more and more fans of Alexander McCall Smith's enormously popular NO. 1 LADIES' DETECTIVE AGENCY books will begin to explore this superb series, which documents the unique moral inquiries of Edinburgh's own Isabel Dalhousie, the esteemed editor of a magazine called "The Review of Applied Ethics." In this fifth volume of the series, Isabel is asked to look into allegations which indicate that a prominent doctor with a spotless reputation was involved in a drug scandal, resulting in the death of one of his patients.
