Call of Cthulhu - Dark Corners of the Earth casts you in the role of Private Investigator Jack Walters, an ex-cop trying to locate a missing person in the mysterious fishing village of Innsmouth. Your investigations soon take a turn for the worst however when you begin to discover Innsmouth's darkest secrets - an unspeakable pact with creatures from deep below the sea, a depraved and insane religious cult, and a plan to resurrect the most powerful being the Earth has ever seen... Based on the popular Call of Cthulhu tabletop role-playing game (inspired by the legendary works of H.P. Lovecraft), Dark Corners is a mix of horror, investigation, puzzle solving, exploration and combat as Jack is faced with the seemingly impossible task of battling evil incarnate.

CALL OF CTHULHU: From the Dark Corners of Gaming.

The Bottom Line: Great story with excellent horror elements, but technically not up to date (graphics etc.).
Review: Not only is the title hard to pronounce {Cthulhu = kuh-tool-ew}, it also reflects little of what the game is about unless you're familiar with Howard Phillips Lovecraft's tales. What sounds to me like a fantasy adventure a la Everquest, really turns...

its 2006 and I paid for this?

Review: For a game that was released this year, it feels horribly dated. I bought it for 29$US and even then I felt ripped off. The graphics are totally yesteryear, for Bethesda creaters of Morrowind and Oblivion its pretty unnaceptable.
