Product Description

In the years since his novel DO ANDROIDS DREAM OF ELECTRIC SHEEP? was brought to the screen as BLADE RUNNER (1982), Philip K. Dick's paranoid, futuristic works have frequently made the same leap---sometimes as brainy puzzlers (OPEN YOUR EYES, A SCANNER DARKLY), but more often as star-powered action vehicles (TOTAL RECALL, PAYCHECK). Afraid that all sorts of frightening demands will be made on him if the true scope of his ability becomes known, Johnson limits the use of his powers to a hokey, third-rate Vegas stage show and reading slot machines to gauge their payouts. Next ---- Nicolas Cage, Jessica Beil, and Julianne Moore look into the future

Date of Review:  Jul 20, 2007
The Bottom Line: A good premise is totally ruined by an ending that takes away any positives the filmed gained. I don't recommend wasting time on this unfullfilling film.
Review: Never have I been more disappointed in the presentation of something that I felt was such a great premise and story. The build-up of the film Next but all of the key elements necessary to create a successful film, but when it came to the ending,...

Next with Nicolas Cage : I never knew what silliness would happen Next

Date of Review:  Apr 12, 2008
The Bottom Line: What a shame! A perfectly good premise wasted on such a bad movie.
Review: Next is certainly a mixed bag! It has a very clever premise, but for the most part, it simply doesn't deliver.

Nicolas Cage plays Cris Johnson, a man born with a special ability. He can see two minutes into the future. Only his own future...
