TigerAccess™ SMC7500A/VCP DSL Modem

The SMC7500A/VCP is an Extended Ethernet (EE) Customer Premise Equipment (CPE) device that provides Ethernet and voice connections to each room of a multi-unit building, university, hospital, or manufacturing facility. The SMC7500A/VCP provides one RJ-45 Ethernet connection and two RJ-11 connectors, one for plugging into the phone jack in a wall and one for a phone. The SMC7500A/VCP bridges EE and Ethernet traffic and, at the same time, splits EE and POTS traffic over the same line. The Ethernet port can connect to a PC, workstation, or SMC wireless Access Point for wireless connections. A fast and efficient way for service providers to supply broadband access to existing structures, the SMC7500A/VCP enables a broad range of connectivity without disruptive overhaul or installation of wiring infrastructure.
