The plot and characters might invoke some d?j? vu, although now the dinos are on a different island. But why mess with success? Readers who enjoyed the JURASSIC oos and aws are sure to enjoy those of LOST WORLD as well.

Dinos, Dinos Everywhere!

The Bottom Line: Not the best written book, but the exciting action scenes make up for a lot. Don't expect anything deep, but do expect to have some fun.
Review: The Lost World, by Michael Crichton, is the sequel to Jurassic Park. I don't know if the dinosaurs bring out the best in Crichton or what. I've read a few of his books and haven't really cared for them, but I loved Jurassic Park and I really enjoyed...

Crichton's first major sequel is all right but not dino-mite.....

The Bottom Line: The Lost World is entertaining in spots, but it has little in common with the 1997 Spielberg movie it inspired.
Review: If you like Michael Crichton's 1995 science fiction/thriller The Lost World, you can thank director Steven Spielberg for the novel's very existence.
