Product Description

 
Toyotas flagship SUV returns basically unchanged this year. The Land Cruiser is equipped with a 4.7L 230-hp V-8 engine coupled with a four-speed automatic transmission. Power is delivered to the wheels through a full-time four-wheel drive system with a locking center differential. The Land Cruiser normally seats five passengers but has the potential to seat eight if the optional Third Seat Package is ordered. This package also includes power rear-quarter windows and an independent automatic rear climate control system. This years Land Cruisers are now available with a DVD-based vehicle navigation system that utilizes a seven-inch dash-mounted display. The exterior color palette has also been altered slightly for 2001

PEDDLING a TOJO - the real McCoy

The Bottom Line: don't be mislead by the others - the real McCoy is a Tojo.
Review: In Australia, the Toyota Land Cruiser is the exact same vehicle as available in the USA.

Peddling is slang for driving, and Tojo is the nickname given these vehicles here. They are far and away the most popular 4 wheel drive in Australia,...

I Could Live in This! UPDATED 01/02

The Bottom Line: Superbly constructed and equipped SUV, for those who desire the perfect blend of luxury and utility. Worth the price, especially when compared to others close to it's class.
Review: I recently purchased my new 2001 Landcruiser, after trading in my 2000 Mercedes ML430. I friend of mine had bought a used 2000 Landcruiser and I realized that my Mercedes just didn't live up to the quality I wanted, or paid for.
