In order to design the best dual band truck mount antenna possible, Wilson focused on 2 major areas. The first is the antenna itself which must have its gain maximized both on the 800 MHz band and also on the 1900 MHz band. Wilson accomplished this by using a phasing coil and a low loss coaxial phase reversing device that provides high gain on both frequencies.
