The Bottom Line: Stone's spin on the Alexander saga is worth seeing at least once...
Review: Oliver Stone's spin on the Alexander story benefited from a stellar cast, an interesting plot and action-packed cinematography. Unfortunately, there just wasn't enough dynamics available to push this up alongside Troy as the Olympic box-office...

The Bottom Line: Would not recommend because the movie is unbearable.
Review: This was an absolutely horrid movie. The acting, the cast, the plot, the fight-scenes, the love scenes (or lack thereof), all awful.

The Bottom Line: I recommend it, but only if you typically like costume drama bioepics. If Troy and King Arthur don't satisfy you then neither will Alexander. To the rest I say enjoy.

The Bottom Line: While "Alexander" is a decent film, and nowhere near as bad as critics suggested, the second half lacks direction. However, it?s certainly worthwhile viewing.
Review: 2005 looks like it's going to be the year of the biopic. Early last month, Ray became the first to be released in New Zealand, and The Aviator finally opened yesterday.
