Moby does punk

After seeing Moby live, I have to say that this guy is the real deal. He's out there, but in a good way.

Moby is the Faith No More or David Bowie of his "genre." Meaning- he does whatever the hell he wants, damn the genre he kind of falls into.

"Animal Rights" has our ersatz musician taking on the world of punk and doing a damn good job.

Perhaps most familiar off this album is the cover of Mission to Burma's "That's When I Reach for my Revolver," a great tune, but not the best on the disc.

"Heavy Flow" has the gutteral growling vocal style of Black Flag, combined with aggressive song style and electronic underlays.

Although, if punk isn't your bag, "Dead Sun" is an ambient piece that doesn't completely grate on the nerves.
