I have owned a powerbook for the past 3 years and have loved nearly every minute of using it. For me, one of the huge advantages is that it has an AUDIO INPUT jack, where as the iBook from it's time does not. In fact, none of the ibooks have an AUDIO IN option without an external audio device. This however, is not a review of the iBook, it's of the powerbook. The other advantage the powerbook has is pure power. I do a lot of audio/video editing and the powerbook handles the stresses of media editing very well. Graphics are also superb on the powerbook, having a much high quality graphics cards than it's little bro (iBook) the powerbook rates top.
I have owned two powerbooks over the past few years, and only had one real major issue, and that was that the lower RAM slot stopped reading the RAM. After doing some research, I found that this is a fairly common occurrence with the Powerbooks. Seeing I only require 1GB of RAM, I just purchased a 1GB RAM chip and put it in the upper slot, problem solved, sort of. I have had no other major issues with my Powerbook, and overall have had a great experience with it. I highly recommend it to anyone who needs a laptop that packs a punch!
