Bought my MacBook while gearing up for law school, and it's turned out to be a great purchase. Prior to this computer I had always had PC laptops, but had become fed up w/ constant problems. I've had bad experiences w/ several different brands. Not w/ Apply however. Their product is top notch. The computer is ready to use out of the box, and if there's further software you wish to install, the process is extremely easy. The computer does not seem to slow down as you add software and fill up disk space the same way that a PC does. The OS runs smoothly and is very common-sense and user-friendly. I cannot speak to Apple's tech support, because I've never had to use it. My computer takes a little bit of a beating, as I constantly truck it around and use it on the go, and has shown no signs of wear and tear. Finally, I have to say that although I didn't buy it for looks, the MacBook does look great. My only complaint is a little bit of discoloration and dirt that shows on the case, but that doesn't tend to bother you too much when you're computer is working great and running smoothly. Having two USB ports can also be a bit of a pain, but it hasn't bothered me too much as I'm mostly using it on the go. If you want to plug in a lot of peripherals at a desk at home, you can always take advantage of a USB hub.
