A great sounding amplifier

This amplifier is very quiet, not just by the specs, but by observation. I compared the direct output of my CD player with the output of this amp through headphones and could detect no difference in noise level or sound character. I also compared it with a good quality receiver I own. The receiver changed the character of the sound and added noise until the tone control bypass was switched in - the tone defeat removed much of the sonic character and some of the noise, but there was still a noticeable difference between the CD and Receiver outputs. With the amp two there was no difference to my ears in this test.

Due to the lack of a remote, I now use this amp as my computer speaker amplifier. It can also be used as a subwoofer amplifier (bridged you get 200 Watts @ 8ohms) by using a switch on the rear. It also has a switch that allows it to turn on automatically when signal is sent to it. You can connect it to the subwoofer output of your receiver and leave it turned on and it will shut off after a few minutes of no signal.

In my use (8 ohm shielded speakers) it does not get very warm and that should ensure that it lasts a long time. Build quality is very good, the speaker outputs will accept bare wire, spade lugs or banana plugs.
