Average and generic are the two words that come to mind when Roadsters enters the picture. Currently, you'll be paying $50 to purchase this game, and for $50 and under, you can find a better racer on N64. Read on...
Let's get the background on the game and the company, Titus... developing and publishing, is responsible for every travesty they ever created. The company struggles to sell a successful game (and if Superman wasn't a popular legend, the game wouldn't manage selling one copy). My friends, Roadsters seems to be their best work in an average tone (which is not good). On with the game now...
The visuals, as I said plain, dull, and somewhat lagging in frame-rates. What's with the code to access this game's poor excuse for a high-resolution mode? (with use of the Expansion Pak only, enter "Extra Rez" as seen, and enter in name entry). The cars look nice however. The sound is basic and annoying car engine noises. The music is garbage and the game fails in this area. The control is decent and well-balanced. The game wont even stay fresh very long either.
Of all the Roadsters games on various systems, Roadsters on N64 appears to be the the best of the average from my opinion. (Don't even start with the horrible DC version, don't even mention the PSX version). Look on renting this one before you even look into purchasing.
