Awesome piece of electronics

Pros: Nice Bass Smooth overall sound Comfortable to wear Sturdy

The Bottom Line: Check this one and the Sennheiser HD 590 or 600 series if you've got the dough. The final decision is up to your ears :)

I've owned this pair of headphones for 14 years now (I have the DT 990, not the pro, the only difference are the pads though). I dragged it back and forth between the US and Europe, and used it on a daily basis in the office for several years. It's still alive and kicking - and by kicking I MEAN kicking :) The only thing that has worn by now are the pads (obviously) and the cable.

When I originally bought this pair, I shopped for months, comparing all the models on the market in Germany at the time. This one was the winner. Well worth the 240 Deutschmarks (~ 120 $) I paid. The sound was and is stunning and can very well keep up with the Sennheiser HD 590 that I'm using on a daily basis now.

Definitely go check out the HD 590, too - it is in the same price range and I find it more comfortable to wear... Sound-wise I find them pretty equivalent (don't get me wrong, they sound very different, but I enjoy both equally).
