Author's Review
A few days ago I wrote an epinion on Karen Kingsbury's ONE TUESDAY MORNING. I just finished reading the sequel, BEYOND TUESDAY MORNING and wanted to share it with all of you. I had never read any of Karen's work before last week and now I'm hooked.
BEYOND TUESDAY MORNING is a Christian fiction. It tells a story of what happened after Jamie finds that her husband has truly died in the south tower of the Twin Towers on September 11, 2001. The first book goes between two different families coping with the tragedy but this one is mainly focused on Jamie.
The setting is 3 years later, when Jamie and her daughter Sierra are still struggling to get through life day to day. Sierra is moving on, but Jamie is moving slowly through her troubles. She becomes a strong Christian because of the Attack on America, but especially because of her late husband's faith. Through God she gets her questions answered.
This is truly an amazing story of faith and fate. Throughout the book there are many, many quotes from the bible and messages from God that also help the reader to be stronger in faith. It really makes you think about situations in your own life that happen for a reason.
Both this book, and the first one ONE TUESDAY MORNING are must reads. The story has much to do with faith in God and some light romance. Karen Kingsbury writes from the heart. She is truly a daughter of God and shows us this in her stories.
The plot of the story goes as follows: Jamie is working at St. Paul's, near the Twin Towers spot, with a one of the survivor's from her husband's fire company. She lost her husband on Sept. 11 but didn't realize it until 3 months after the fact because a man who was believed to be her husband was found on Sept. 11 alive. She nurtured this man for 3 months, believing he was her husband until his memory came back. Eric Michaels was a better man because of it. Jamie's lack of faith turns around and she and her daughter turn to God for many of life's questions and answers. She meets a man that steals her heart, a man who has as strong faith as she does, only to find out that there may be no way that she could spend the rest of her life with him. Read the book to find out more. I don't want to spoil it for anyone.
Great read!
