Author's Review

I love to read autobiographies. It is nice to see the 'human' side of actors, singers, and other famous people. They are just like us, basically, but with a lot more money.

If you follow any of my epinions you will soon find out that I am also a huge Tim Allen fan. I got this book out of the library shortly after it was originally released. If you are EVER in a melancholy mood this book will most definitely knock you out of that in a big hurry! This is a tongue-in-cheek type of humor; not for kids or those with sensitive, er, eyes. No pictures, just some of the words that are used may damage the word sensitive out there.

Tim Allen is a true comic genius and it shows in this book that he could easily stand out on his own without the assistance of writers for his material. I laughed so hard on the first chapter alone that I had to put the book down for a day or so for fear of becoming ill from laughing too much. Tim has a terrific way of looking at every day life. He has a very unique writing style and you can almost hear his grunting while you are reading this book!

I have never read any book anything like this and I wish he would write more of them. The title is about the only 'racy' thing about this book. It is a heartfelt account of a funnyman's life story to date. It is obvious that Tim Allen can see the humor in any given situation. He must be a real blast in real life! I would recommend this book to anyone who has a very open sense of humor. There are sad parts in this book, too, as any good writer would put in.
