Gave Me a Phobia of Phobia

Date of Review:  Feb 26, 2001
The Bottom Line: Long read but well worth it. A typical Dean Koontz adventure that builds tension on tension and fear upon fear. If you like Koontz you'll like "False Memory ".
Review: I have read every Dean Koontz book written and "False Memory " is right up there on the list for good reads. It is a first rate,razor-sharp,suspenseful adventure of the mind.
Koontz books tend to lead you in one direction and then twist around...

False Memory - Not a Memorable Book at All

Date of Review:  Mar 4, 2001
The Bottom Line: False Memory could have been a really good book. Koontz simply couldn't pull it off.
Review: What if an author of a book that you reviewed on Epinions didn?t like your review? Would he attempt to exact revenge? Would he try to kill you and your entire family? Probably not. But he might.

What about me? What if I don?t like the way...

Scary as Hell (write - off)

Date of Review:  Sep 13, 2001
The Bottom Line: This is the first Dean Koontz book I've read. It certainly won't be the last. Oh yeah, and it was scary as Hell.
Review: Imagine this:

Your best friend has Agoraphobia. This means that she is afraid to go outside of her apartment. Twice a week you have to drive over to her apartment, pick her up, and drag her to see her psychiatrist, Dr. Ahriman.

Impressive Read

Date of Review:  Jul 3, 2000
Review: I had never read Dean Koontz before, despite rave reviews from just about everyone I know. One night, I endeavored to read this work of fiction, and was truly impressed. A page-turner of a mystery, "False Memory" seems horrifyingly plausible, due...

Don't Let This One Give You Nightmares!

Date of Review:  Feb 22, 2001
The Bottom Line: I could not put this book down...it is Dean Koontz' best effort yet. I read this one within two days!
Review: This is the best Dean Koontz novel I've read so far. The premise of the book, a psychiatrist who can "hypnotize" his victims and "activate" them with the name of a character from a book, is believable and quite creative. I especially liked the...

Enough mind control

Date of Review:  Apr 24, 2000
Review: Well Koontz sure has an interest in mind control. Here is yet another book based on the subject. True these books may make you wonder, but I think Koontz may need new material. This book is O.K. not great but worth reading. There is a whole lot of...

False Memory : Think of the Possibilities

Date of Review:  Jul 7, 2000
Review: Wow. That word sums up the book for me. I consider myself an avid reader of Koontz, but I will be the first to admit that the last couple of books that he has published really didn't appeal to me. My faith is now restored.
This book was...

Lots of plot twists

Date of Review:  Jul 14, 2000
Review: Wow - thats really all I can say after finishing Deen Koontz's book, False Memory. This book is full of messed up people! That was my first though when I started reading it.

Then I found out that this doctor has been hypnotizing people in...

The Best So Far!

Date of Review:  Jan 31, 2000
Review: Being a big Stephen King fan, my loyalty to "The King" is finally over...

This new book from Dean Koontz is the best ever! It reminds me of the Stephen King books of the past. When King was in his prime writing books like "The Stand", I...

Classic Dean Koontz Style!

Date of Review:  Feb 15, 2000
Review: Since I love Dean Koontz, I had to read this one. :-)
The book was a little slower-going than the usual Dean Koontz fare, but once you get into it--look out!

Unlike other books and authors of similar content, Koontz keeps you guessing...
