Walk Two Moons

Date of Review:  Mar 18, 2001
The Bottom Line: Good plot and great life lessons make for a good read for young adults and us just plain regular adults, too.
Review: It is one of my missions in life to read all of the Newbery Medal winners. Somehow I missed them when I was growing up - I jumped from Nancy Drew to Stephen King in one big leap, and I missed a bunch of good stories along the way. So I treated...

I couldn't put this one down!

Date of Review:  Jun 20, 2000
Review: Walk Two Moons, by Sharon Creech, came highly-recommended to me by a friend who also happens to be a children's book author. She didn't tell me much except that I ought to get the book and read it.

I took her advice and was glad I did! I...

On Your Marks...Get Set...Weep!

Date of Review:  May 29, 2006
The Bottom Line: This is a book deserving of reading by young adults and adults alike, as well as for younger children who have experienced real loss.
Review: Bibliotherapy is the use of literature for the purpose of healing. A child with problems can feel less alone in the world by reading about another child with similar problems.

Walk Two Moons would be excellent therapy for a child who has...

The Bottom Line: This book perfect for girls ages 10-14 and a great outlet for young teens. Definitely two thumbs up.
Review: I am a thirteen-year-old girl who read Walk Two Moons and has never been the same. This book is absolutely essential for any girl's bookcase.
During this last summer, my Grandma decided she would read all of the Newberry Award-winning books and...
