Major disappointment, very misleading ads, and overpriced.

Date of Review:  Jan 20, 2005
The Bottom Line: You will likely be disappointed by this product. For the high price demanded by Bose, and the hype of the ads, I expected near-perfection; what I got wasn't even close.
Review: I thought I'd buy a nice present for my frequent-flier friend. But, the QC-2s turned out to be a huge disappointment; I've never seen such lousy price-performance out of any Bose product. I returned them for refund immediately and I would never...

Outstanding headphones for any mass transit commuter

Date of Review:  Jul 22, 2008
Review: I ride the bus to work and I found that my Sony Fontopia? MDR-EX81LP earbuds (~$50) just could not compete with the noise from the bus and the passengers. After trying out the Bose Quietcomfort 3 headphones at an Apple Store, I decided to spend the...

Pretty good

Date of Review:  Aug 3, 2008
The Bottom Line: If you have the money get this.
Review: I've been using the QC3 for over a year now and I love them. Great build quality. It's built MUCH better than the terrible Tri-Port headphones which I believe are discontinued. The main benefit of these are the passive (noises from trains and...

Bose cheaply made but work great when they're not broke, which is often

Date of Review:  Dec 11, 2007
Review: The Bose quiet comfort work great, they block out ambient noises to create a comfortable atmosphere no matter where you are. They can be plugged into a portable device making music crisp and enjoyable. But and a big but, the quality of the way they...

Already Cashed Refund Check: Horrible Interference Near Cellphones

Date of Review:  Jan 26, 2005
The Bottom Line: Buy only if you're not planning on using it near any cellphones.
Review: I received the Bose Quiet Comfort 2 headphones last christmas. I would not be one to spend so much on a pair of headphones myself, but was thrilled to have such an exquisite set of headphones for commuting via train.

I have since gone...

Best Headphone for blocking out Noise, But....

Date of Review:  Dec 9, 2005
The Bottom Line: Get it only if you fly often. Otherwise, it will probably end up in a closet corner.
Review: Initially worried about the price, I had settled with a cheaper unit made by Sony (Sony makes a few models and I had chosen the cheapest one). Although it cancelled some of the humming noise especially while flying, it did not work too well and a...

Great Overall sound

Date of Review:  Apr 18, 2007
The Bottom Line: My opinion, don?t bother with other headphones that boasts a noise cancellation system. Don?t waste your time nor your effort!
Review: Next to my M&K 750THK 5.1 home audio speaker system... and next to my Polk reference car speakers (powered by Alpine amps), The Bose QC3s are the best things that have touched my ears. Is it worth it? For $349, it better be worth it! They sound...

Stick a cork in it already!

Date of Review:  Jan 23, 2005
The Bottom Line: Buy it now if you listen in loud areas.
Review: I listen to music often when I work to help me get into the "zone" when I design. I live in a loft in a busy area with large windows that allow just about any noise in the area into my workspace. Between the garbage trucks some morning, honking...
