Clean and Clear Water

I have been a big fan of water filters in the past few years, mostly because our tap water has begun to taste strange.  I started with a unit that attached to the sink and eventually moved to using the Brita Slim Pitcher so that I could have cold, clean water available.

For the most part, I really enjoy using the pitcher.  It is slim so it does not take up a lot of space in the fridge.  It also does a good job of filtering the water so that there are no strange tastes left over.  The water comes out clean and refreshing and it does not taste like the filter, a problem I have had with some other units.

I do wish that the pitcher was bigger so it could hold more water though I realize that if it were bigger, it would take up more room in the fridge.  Also, if you overfill the top of the pitcher, some of the carbon from the filter will spill out and it usually ends up in your glass when you pour the water later.  Because of this, if you want to fill the pitcher all the way you have to fill it part way, let it filter that water, then add more.  This is time consuming and frustrating for me when I am in a hurry.
