Author's Review

My Ben Harper craze all started three years ago in the mountains. I was in a van on the way to a rockclimbing site and my counselors put in a Ben Harper cd. Ever since I have been hooked to Ben Harper's unique sound and haunting lyrics. Burn to Shine really brought out the diversity in Ben and his Criminal's talent. The genre of songs on the album range from blues to pop, from country to folk. It doesn't stop there...Ben manages to intertwine amazing lyrics to every single one of his songs. They touch your soul, unlike most lyrics of today. He goes way beyond the conventional "Hit me baby one more time"....and really reaches you "won't you sing me the blues/sing me something my heart can use/misery loves a symphony". If you want inspiration, soul, and good warm fuzzy feelings buy Ben Harper's Burn to Shine and you'll be 100% happier.
